To begin, the fine folks on the Krishna Club Exec Team would like to thank all those who came out to do yoga in the middle of the YorkU commons on Monday night. Upwards of 30 people showed up and many people passed by to ogle the aspiring yogis and learn about our club.
Anyhoo, let’s talk about next week’s event! Nowadays, the societal definition of yoga is “a hodge podge of physical postures that are complicated and awkward”. Okay, maybe not societal, maybe just my definition.
Whatever the case may be, there is more to yoga than just the physical. So what is the real aim of yoga? What does it mean to practice yoga perfectly?
Join the Krishna Club for an interactive discussion as we answer these questions and many more by cutting through the commercialism that clouds the real meaning of yoga.
When: Monday, Sept. 27, 2010 @ 7pm – 8.30pm
Where: Room 315C, Student Centre
